Texas Teacher Nikki Scherwitz Likes ‘Em Young: Jailed for Sexual Relationship With Student

Well, what do you know, it seems another teacher got all “hot in the crotch” over one of her students. That teacher is a 25-year-old Brazosport ISD teacher, now unemployed and the star of a shiny, new mugshot photo.

Nikki Scherwitz was charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship with a student. She was a 10th grade English teacher at Brazosport High School for about nine months.

And let me just tell you, I have known a few Nikkis in my day. And when you need a good lickie, you can always count on a girl named Nikki.

According to authorities, the victim is a 16-year-old 10th grader. The sexual relationship had apparently been going on for weeks.

Police were tipped off after Scherwitz allegedly showed up to an after-prom party on April 20 at a student’s house.

“She was wearing no shoes when she showed up…like a cut up, cut off shirt and everything,” said one student.

"I believe one of the students told her it wasn't right for her to be there and asked her to leave," said Lt. Raymond Garivey with the Freeport Police Department. “We have information that she was consuming alcohol."

BISD officials launched an investigation after they received a report of misconduct on April 22 involving Scherwitz. She turned in her resignation the same day she was approached about the matter, before the investigation was complete.

The case was then handed over to the Freeport Police Department who moved forward with filing charges.

Scherwitz is currently out on a $50,000 bond.

Scherwitz and her husband had separated before the relationship with the teen began. Police said the couple’s son is staying with his father.

Colorado Teacher Amanda Rowles Jailed for Sharing Her Warm Spot with Two Male Students

Who needs coats this winter? If you are a student at Calhan High School, until recently, you could have found a warm spot with a 27-year-old drama and choir teacher named Amanda Rowles.

Rowles found herself in the pokey after playing pokey-pokey with two male students.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation last September after Calhan School administrators advised the Sheriff's Office of a possible relationship between Rowles and a student.

The investigation revealed that Rowles allegedly engaged in sexual relationships with two 17-year-old students during the 2011-2012 school year.

According to investigators, one student stated that he had sex with Rowles "on at least 40 occasions" over a six month period. The sexual encounters reportedly took place while Rowles and the student were hiking together or when they were at her mother's house.

Another student told police that his relationship with Rowles was sparked when she kissed him in the classroom after school. A sexual relationship developed between Rowles and the student even after she had pushed him away at one point and acknowledged that the relationship was wrong.

The student told investigators that he was "hurt" when Rowles abruptly ended their relationship and moved away.

At the end of the 2011-2012 school year, Rowles resigned her position at the school and moved to the Denver area where she was arrested by the Aurora County Sheriff's Office.

She was arrested and taken to the Aurora County Jail, charged with two counts each of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and sexual assault/pattern of abuse. Her bond has been set at $50,000.

Virginia Substitute Teacher Anna Michelle Walters: Another Teacher-Student Sex Scandal

A Chesterfield County Public School substitute teacher has been launched into the spotlight. Not only has she gained worldwide attention, but she has now caught the attention of police over allegations of having sex with a former student.

In addition to her substitute teaching duties, Anna Michelle Walters also served as an assistant cheerleading coach. Police say she is accused of having sex with a former Cosby High School student.

Chesterfield Police said that they have received numerous tips about the alleged incident. Police are continuing their investigation, including allegations involving other students.

The story became public after a recent graduate, Justin Waters, posted graphic text messages and pictures to his Twitter account.

Authorities indicate the school was made aware of the allegation October 12, and Walters was released from employment with the school system the same day.

According to Walter's LinkedIn account, she had been employed by the Chesterfield County Public School System since January 2012.

The age of the student, at the time of the sexual encounters, will be a determining factor in whether or not Walters will face any criminal charges. Likewise, if encounters with other students are proven, Walters could face “stiff” penalties. Of course, I think she has already faced a few “stiff” ones, don’t you think?
